Drillthrough reports in Power BI
-
Implementing drillthrough reports in Power BI?
-
-
Drillthrough in Power BI is a powerful feature that allows users to explore data in more detail by clicking on a data point and navigating to a related report or dashboard. It provides a way to dive deeper into the underlying data and gain more insights.
-
For example, if you have a sales report with a bar chart showing total sales by product category, you can enable drillthrough to a more detailed product report. When a user clicks on a bar representing a specific product category, they will be navigated to a report that shows sales data for that product, including sales by region, customer, and other relevant details.
-
Create a separate Power BI report or dashboard that contains more detailed
information about the specific data point you want to drill through to.
-
In the visual you want to enable drillthrough for, right-click on the data point and
select "Drillthrough."
-
Choose the target report or dashboard that you want to
navigate to.
- You can customize the drillthrough experience by specifying filters
or parameters that will be passed to the target report. This allows you to
tailor the drillthrough to the specific context of the data point.
